If they are recent updates, we all want to know it.M To summarize, following is a list of the utilities offered by Pro-Copy:B Catalog Directory Copy Files Format Disk@ Alphabetize Volume Delete Fil.OM Also, I am a bit confused about the version dates that are shown for the NLProDOS System master programs. Are these the latest updates from Apple, or PNare they modifications by CS Software? Greg, I would appreciate hearing from Cyou on 5-FEB-85 KI(yours is 29-OCT-84), which overcomes this objection. Anyone wishing to MKobtain an update should be able to get it from their dealer at no cost. I OMfinally got mine direct from Apple, and my dealer reproduced my copy for his filess option later. By the way, IGGreg, your Convert program is out of date and will give trouble on the NLenhanced Apple IIe - It displays the DOS 3.3 filenames in mouse characters, OMwhich is silly and confusing. I have an updated version 1.2, dated duplicates most of these functions, plus Alphabetize, Rename, =View, Show Map, plus a few more goodies that can be useful.MK I couldn't find a Convert option, but Greg did include ProDOS Convert to MKthe disk, so I assume he must plan to add thiof NLfiles when you are backing them up on floppies. It helps a lot to have the Efiles on the disk in alphabetical order. Pro-Copy does it for you.PN The ProDOS utilities on Users.Disk does a lot of things in a very orderly OMway. Pro-Copythe directories that JHcould easily be replaced if it crashed. No problem ! All went well ! PNAlthough AppleWorks alphabetizes every time you bring up the files, there are NLtimes when it is desirable to print out a file listing, or to keep track he Users.Disk ProDOS utilities, but the manual is clear =and easy to read, and in no time at all, I had it down pat.HF I have the Sider Hard Drive, and I was at first a bit leery about PNAlphabetizing files on it, so I experimented with one of thout further delay, I started experimenting with the program, and I am NLhappy to say that it does everything Greg claims, and then some ! True, it NLtakes a bit of getting used to - the menu driven command manipulation is a NLbit different from t to replace it with what I wanted, and within a week in came Pro-Copy by Greg Schaefer.MK In the same mail, was my copy of TAWUG.9 & 10. Imagine my surprise to Fread the review written by Greg Schaefer, telling us about Pro-Copy.PN Wior OMDOS 3.3. So I immediately placed an order for the program, and within a few LJdays received - oops ! a package of software with the same name, but by a JHdifferent company - and for the Macintosh ! Fortunately, the supplier MKreadily agreedd an ad in Nibble KImagazine for Pro-Copy, put out by CS Software. It looked as though this PNmight be the program I was looking for - that is, something that would do for PNProDOS what Sensible Software's Super-Disk Copy and Disk Organizer can do f View Files Restore VolumeMK For anyone with lots of files, or if you have a Hard Drive, or if you 1just want a good program, I recommend Pro-Copy.OMP.S. Since Greg was kind enough to supply the program NOT copy protected, it Jwas easy for me to install it on my Sider Hard Drive. And it works O.K.7 George W.
